Posture Lab - Breaking Down the Warriors

Posture labs are meant to break down certain postures that are seen frequently in yoga classes but infrequently performed correctly. This session, we will focus on the Warrior postures and how to transition safely in and out of each pose. You will learn the benefits of each asana (posture) while gaining a deeper sense of body awareness. We will encourage you to ask questions as we want you to leave feeling confident and more body aware!

Get Upside Down with Marty and Victoria! The final session of their series will have a handstand focus. 

Interested in beginning your inversion journey, but not quite sure where to start? Marty and Victoria work together on teaching you the basics of headstand, forearms stand, and handstands through essential warm ups and strengtheners, a fun flow section where you can practice integrative movements, and a workshop portion where we take the time to break down specific methods to get you upside down!

These 90 minute yoga classes will begin with a gentle warm up focusing on loosening up the joints, connecting to our breath, and intention setting then lots of fun flow and breaking down the nitty gritty of getting your feet in the air. (98 degrees)

The problem is that there is never enough time to practice them during a yoga class nor for the instructor to share all the details while flowing through the cues. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or a beginner, this workshop will help you strengthen and develop a mindful arm balance practice. In this workshop, we will start with a fun flow to build heat and connect with the breath, followed by a step-by-step tutorial on the mechanics, anatomy, and kinesiology of the most common non-inverted arm balances as well as wrist exercises to release stress and promote a healthy foundation on the hands. You will learn how to properly warm up your body and practice safely as you begin to take flight. This is a practical workshop so pack your mat and water and get ready to sweat and fly. You will leave this workshop inspired and ready to take your practice to the next level!
